From Passion Project to North American Expansion
Formerly known as EloSports, we have now rebranded ourselves as EvoSports, taking our commitment to sports technology and athlete empowerment to new heights.
EloSports was initially a passion project by Justin Li in Vancouver, Canada. Li noticed that there were many players that wanted to share their matches online and were setting up their mobile devices in precarious locations with poorly lit video. The online viewers were constantly asking for score updates and Li saw an opportunity to create a service catered to these players. Originally contracted to be written for Q1 Billiards, Li was able to keep the intellectual property of the final product. This allowed the system to be constantly upgraded and as popularity of the streams grew, expand to other locations. The system was easy for users to stream and many players quickly adopted using the system over bringing their own tripods and cameras.
As popularity grew, EloSports began streaming events around the Lower Mainland and in Washington. This caught the attention of Colin Su and Patrick Nicks who had similar ideas and the three founders were connected. Together, they are now looking to streamline the development process of the product and expand across North America.
